The platform behind the campaign

TPG-POS is a web application — installed on tablets for field use and used in an ordinary browser everywhere else. There is no software for your organisation to install and no infrastructure to operate. Supporters never hold accounts, logins or passwords.

What it does

Supporter capture

Every pledge records the supporter's name, contact details, pledge amount and frequency, consent and opt-in selections, and the exact terms and conditions version accepted at the time.

Payment processing

Card payments online and in person, single gifts and ongoing regular giving, plus cash where a campaign uses it. Each campaign uses its own payment provider account — funds settle to the campaign, never pooled.

Receipting & confirmation

The supporter receives a confirmation email from the campaign's own sending address, on the campaign's own subdomain, with replies arriving in the campaign's own mailbox.

Entitlement fulfilment

Where a campaign offers supporter benefits — for example entitlements or reward access — the platform records and fulfils them as part of the pledge.

Reporting & reconciliation

Daily and campaign-to-date results for the campaign operator, the marketing company and the charity — each within their own scope. Every payment recorded is matched against the payment provider's own records.

A pledge, end to end

A pledge reaches the platform in person on a tablet, through the campaign website, or by phone through the contact centre. From that point the path is the same for all three:

  1. 1

The pledge is recorded, stamped with the campaign, the agent or channel, and the terms version accepted.

  2. 2

The payment is processed by the campaign's own payment provider account, which confirms the outcome back to the platform over a signed, verified server-to-server message.

  3. 3

A confirmation email is issued from the campaign's own sending address, with replies arriving in the campaign's own mailbox.

  4. 4

Any supporter entitlement attached to the pledge is recorded and fulfilled.

  5. 5

The pledge appears in campaign reporting and in the daily reconciliation against the payment provider's records.

Who uses it — and what they can see

Access is enforced in the database itself, not only in the menus. A charity cannot see another charity's campaign, and a marketing company cannot see another company's agents or results.
